most likely in multiplayer you will be close enough to talk to your opponents...

I agree with moveit124. I've played multiplayer online with some people and its hard too look up from the game and type something to another player on an instant messenger. warfare is a game where you cant stop for anything or else you get a huge setback. if there was a little button in there that could bring up a tiny in-warfare-messager, it would be very easy and wouldn't waste as much time as going to your computer. possibly even pre-set messages could be set.

You kids just want it all. Actually I just don't think moveit wants to get out of bed so he can access his pc. :D

I personally don't want to give up any of my screen real estate or processing power to add chat. Who wants to chat during a game anyway. It is after the game that it is fun to chat and debrief about who had the best moves, etc. And most people find typing on their pc much easier than on the palm.

We are always available on Yahoo and AOL Instant Messengers when we are hosting games at our house. We often have 2-5 windows open chatting with different people at the same time.

That's not it...

I just meant for people who are watching the game... you know?

Cause i get bored watching the game with no chat....

and also i cant use the computer at all except 1 hour a day so i dont really wanna waste that time on the computer chatting

Ok, some taunts would be nice then. Like "Good job" or "That wasn't smart" or something like that.

I agree: I think chat is impractical. I don't think it would enhance WFI enough to be worth it!

Then they should at least add an option to hide the warfare app for a few seconds so we can go get AIM on our PPCs to chat. Right now we can't hide.

Yeah like a minimize button would be nice for that... right now there is no way to hide warfare and it would be real nice if there was.

Um to access chat you would probobly have to pause or something, which disrupts the whole game, so if you chat durring game play you will miss things due to the fact that things grow too quick because otherwise the game would be boring, and you would have to type the message and that wouls take long,

however,
I think maybe if you could hit a tiny button to bring up a pop-up menu where you could quickly choose something and continue and your way, the choice would then make the other persons palm say something like yourgoingdown (as the palm sounds like), retreat, pull back, charge, or something like that

hey. i think that if everyone has fast broadband, like me, then they should add voice chat. most ppc's have mics and sound. i am sure my 624mHz dell could handle it, and even my 400mHz handheld could handle it, at least the ppc's, maybe not the palms.

What would be the point of 'retreat' if everyone is against each other. Computers wouldn't listen, you control the guies!. If they had text to speech, that would be nice. you type something and it says it to everyone on the game. You wouldn't have any annoying popups or messages in your way then.

When you die in a game, instead of kicking you out it lets you watch.

Spectator = Observer
