This game has been extremelly addicting to me so I wondered if anyone else was having the same battery issues I have. I charge my Sony Clie T665 every day and when I play I get about 45 minutes of straight play time with backlight on and all before my batteries go poop.
So, Imagine if your device Pocket PC or Palm were fully charged and you started playing, how long before you get battery warning lights with the backlight turned fully on?

I used to have a Sony SJ33... My dad still has a N760. We've come to the conclusion that Sony Clie batteries drain very fast, compared to other palms or pocket pcs.
I'm running one of the highest-battery-capacity pdas, the h4355, and its great! playing for 3 hours!

I was wondering if it was just my Palm or if WI puts a heavy load on the battery. I thought maybe I had a defective battery. I'm glad someone has put up a poll on the subject. I hope everyone responds. I am very interested in seeing the results. As it is I have to charge my battery everyday. That is everyday I play WI.

I have a Sony NX70. I've noticed that the default setting for screen brightness is set to MAX. This drains the battery very quickly. I've always set mine to MIN. At first it looks dim, but it is actually brighter than my old m505, and after a while you won't notice it. If the situation warrants, I'll bump it up (and then forget to bump it back down - until the battery drains! )

That is interesting, I always have my T665C set to the max bright level. I wonder if that has anything to do with my poor battery dieing so quickly. I get about an hour or so of continous use before it dies.

My Tungsten E would die in about an hour with the brightness set to the highest (which is the way it comes from the factory) setting, even before I played WI. I, too, have found that I've tripled battery life by tapping on the little "sun" and dragging that brightness slider all the way left !

I have a TH55 and I usually play for about an hour each session and my battery is fine. I'm not that addicted since I know I have other stuff to do and can get into serious trouble for not doing it...
Backlight is set to 1/4. On a really regular day; I play 2 & 1/2 hours worth of mp3s and another 1/2 hour or so doing PIMs, WP and SS. The lowest voltage I've seen my battery go to is 4V. Now this is what I consider a great battery.
<edit> Just to let you know, I'm too paranoid to ever let my batteries run dry on me... I usually check my battery status (via Hi-Launcher) every now and then when playing extensively...

Tipically - the lower the resolution, the less multiplayer, no sounds, and not as bright, will help you with your gameplay. The low resolution screens (Zire 31, 21, ect) don't have as many pixels to power. If you have sound, that really drains the battery pretty fast. Using bluetooth or Wi-Fi is probably the worst thing you can do to your battery. Also PDA's with clocked processors (Like the zire 72, etc) use up alot of battery power. The brighter the screen, the more power each pixel takes.
Just play using the cradle or power cable (I do this every night).
-hope this helps everyones issues.

I get around 3-4 hrs of bat life. If you have a new battery, it takes a few days for It to hold an actual charge. So IF you think ur new batery sux, give it a few days.
