Edit Alert

When I get on these forum, I normally click "View posts since last visit". Then I read all the post in the list. Right now, only new posts are put in the list. But why don't we also put edited posts in the list. Edited posts could kinda be considered a new post because we don't know how much it's changed. Also, there is no alert for edited posts. Like if there's a topic with no new posts, it puts this image 🖼 image no longer available but a topic with new posts, has this image 🖼 image no longer available Why don't we make an image for topics that have edited posts as well.

In other words, lets have the forum notify members when there is an edited post as well as a new post.

I dont like the idea. i really dont care if someone adds somthing to their posts.

If i posted 5 on a topic with 10 posts after mine. What would show up on the "view posts since last post"? Would it say wonderer edited his post? Would the link take you directly to my post? Or just take me to the topic and you would have to look for the edited post.

Maybe we could have an extra button then. We could add one saying, "View edits since last visit" but still keeping the, "View posts since last visit" button. And for the people that don't care about edits, they just don't have to click on the "View edits since last visit" button.

How many times have ever looked at a post and said hey they changed what they just said?

I some times edit my old posts just to try to fix my grammer or move things around. But its mostly on the wmw Page and the stragety center page.

The only thing i would like scottlu to fix is the who edited the post thing. Some times it doesnt show that a admin or mod edited a post that isnt their. To me thats wrong.

I do that a lot of times. If someone tells me they edited a post, I check it too.
