Human Controls multiple sides

Is it possible to allow the player to commando multiple sides? I have changed the number of players and set SIdes 1,2,and 3 to human, but I only have control of Side One units when I test the mission on my palm.

Is this possible, or is my quest hopeless?

Sorry, this doesn't work. You can specify multiple human sides for multiplayer maps of course, but still again each human side is controlled by a different player.
