Unit behaviour settings would be good e.g:
Aggressive - Attack any enemy in sight, always
Defensive - Attack only if attacked
Recon - Never attack. Withdraw on sight of enemy and announce.

Hey, that is an awesome idea! I think that would be great. Another thing to add to units, maybe you could add different formations too? It would also be cool to add these to options to the little game menu, while you are playing, becuase there are different points in a game where you would want the units in a certain formation or you would wnat them in a different aggressivness (suggested above).

How about a mobile medical unit to improve health?

 Think of this!!!
This would be cool: what if they added all the above + a way to effect the troops emotions in battle...
For example: A troop has lived in many battles and he gains rank, in doing so all the troops that fight in battle with him will fight more hard...
Tell me if you think this is cool?

That is a great idea. I especially like the rank part. If a unit fights in a certain amount of battles, he gets promoted, and at teh same time he is kind of "upgraded," so he has better armor and faster fire rate.
I like that other part too, but that would probably be to hard to implement for a Palm game.

like the behaviour idea a lot .
even if it was just as simple as a "stay the hell where I put you" feature.

I mentioned something to that degree in my post that I misspelled enhancement. like in starcraft with the move, attack, patrol and stand ground. very helpful stuff. I do like the level up idea, too. war craft 3 does that. plus it would add some type of individual unit upgrade, since there are no armour of or fire power upgrades.

that would also require a med unit to keep your precious unit alive. they won't last too long otherwise - m5:personal goals.
