Yeah people think this is a good idea but.
A few things you have to think about.

The first thing: this topic has been made before.
Second: whos going to have to control the buildings the map creator or the map hoster.
Third: what if the map creator wanted red to be at the bottom of the map. But red moves his base towards the top does the tanks still come out from the top of the vts or bottom?
Forth: what if each player has control over which side the vts makes the tanks out of
Does that mean the vts on the top of the map doesnt have to press an extra rotating button?
And does that also mean the vts at the very bottom have to press the rotating button 3
times?

Heres a nother thanks to you for posting and old topic.

Heres a nother great idea that i didnt post before.
What if scottlu made a grid or 2 lines to seperate the west field from the east field and another line seperate north field from south field.
And which ever field your vts is in that would determin which side of your tanks would came out of.

only the person who actually built the map in the mission maker could rotate buildings so u wouldnt have to wory about the top people having an advantage

If only the mapmaker can make rotated buildings, that means any new buildings built by players will just stay as the default (facing south).

I always though it would be cool that you could pick which way the building was facing when you built it.

But there is another proplem:
Unless my eyes are going bad it's not completely a top view. Like take a mining station: you can see the top if it, but you can also see the front of it where the door opens up to let in the miner. So if you rotated the buildings, you would see the top and back of the mining stating therefor you could not see the miner go in and out.

Or maybe it is all top view and I have really bad eyes. Lol :P

you have a point n and yes u could rotate them when building them maybe it could kinda show the front of them too maybe the view is panoramic :lol: or maybe the galaxite processor is crooked

I always thought the game was made with an isometric view. Kind of like Roller Coadter Tycoon 2. If it is isometric view, and you rotate the buildings, the bottom people don't wanna see the back of a VTS, HRC, Galaxite Processor, ect, 24/7. So then you would need to be able to change the view as well. And that means more programming ect.
