How do I get the enemy units to use the replicator in my missions? :?

I've wondered that myself quite a while.
In one of the story missions (I'm thinking it was M11: Damage Control), OMNI uses the replicator. Later today I'll open up the story maps in M. Ill see how it's done then post back.

Okay make an area on the replicator the same size and place as the one in the picture. Tell the computer units to go to that area and they will replicate. After they replicate you should have a trigger to move them away from the replicator to allow more room for other units to replicate.
