Medics are a waste of time as guards are cheap. However, that nice new expensive tank that you have just built might want repairing after a small skirmish.!

I kind of like medics. A pack of rocket troopers and medics could be unstoppable!

Mobile Medics/Repair Vehicles are neat.
Service Depot and Hospitals would add a charge-fight-retreat-recharge element to the game. This would require more map jumping similar to controlling the front while building units to resupply the front.
