Hi,

I am using a Sony Clie TJ25. I cannot get the sound to unmute, I am assuming this is because of the crappy small speaker on this PDA. Although I have read in reviews people using older palms with the same type of speaker and still getting sound. Is it possible for me to get any sound?

The TJ25 is a special device, in that it has an ARM cpu (Palm OS 5 and above) yet has a piezo-electric speaker (almost all Palm OS 5 devices have real speakers). WI supports digital audio on older devices with piezo-electric speakers (PalmOS 3 and 4 based devices), but as of yet it doesn't support digital audio on ARM based piezo-electric speaker devices. Sorry!

I would like to fix it, unfortunately there is no public programming interface available from the respective device manufactors to do it on ARM-Piezo devices (Sony Clie PEG-TJ25 is one, Palm Zire 21 is another, 2 different manufacturers). We've put tons of work into making audio work on just about every device type out there that I want to see it work on everything :)
