I imagine this will work on the upcoming Tapwave Zodiac but will there be a version that fully exploits the Zodiac's incredible specs?

Warfare Incorporated has been tuned for a very large range of devices, including Tapwave Zodiac. Special support was put in the product to take advantage of Zodiac's graphics hardware.

*I think Zodiac's are cool, but to much $$$ to get one...
*You most likely wont see a difference in the game... *You getting it for the palm in whole, or just the game? *I think it is more like a Gameboy than a palm(not that anything is wrong with the game boy)... What i am trying to say is that while the Tapwave Zodiac is cool and all, you sholdnt buy one becouse you want a palm, but becouse you want to play games... If you want a palm get one like a Sony. |

This is way better than any Sony device. This is way smaller, this can do a lot more (way more than a gameboy can, plus the games are a MILLION times better). Not only that, it was dual batteries, dual speakers (awesome stereo sound), dual expansion slots, etc.

You may have typed this wrong, but this makes no sense, especially since we are talking about the Tapwave Zodiac right now... |

In the case of pre-OS 5 Clie devices, the game can get an extra boost from the MediaQ graphics accelerator chip found in those devices. MQGX.prc is simply the interface the game uses to use this graphics accelerator. Minor fact: the Palm m130 also uses the MediaQ chip. _________________ Warfare Incorporated Development Team Back to top DBZ-GOKU- Joined: 15 Aug 2003 Posts: 216 Location: Salt Lake, UT, USA Posted: Sun Sep 14, 2003 2:02 am Post subject: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'll just be deleting that then... _________________ Palm T|T, 64mb sd card, Veo digital camera. *access to a Palm m100* *Getting a Tapwave Zodaic!* Now get it i was saying that it might not take advantage of the hardware |

Yeah, Scott said they optimized it to take advantage of teh Zodiacs Hardware (the ATI Imageon 3d graphics card and the X-Forge 3d game engine). The processor alone can handle the game, but with these, this makes it even easier for the device to handle. Besides, the ATI and X-Forge are way better than the Q-chip thing the Clie's have...

It's the third post in this forum... [quote="XboxJunkie101"]anyways it wont make that big of a differance mabe a little Wat, the ATI graphics card and the X-Forge engine? Maybe not with this game, but this device can handle games that the current clie's couldn' handle (including teh UX series). |

I find it strange that some say it is pricey. At $300, it is cheaper than most high end PDAs yet has better specs. |

Yeah...really. It drives me nuts when they say it is pricy, but I don't think most people are looking at it in the Palm view, they are just looking at it from the gaming aspect (when they should really be looking at it in several different views. An mp3 player, a video player, a Palm, and a Playstation. If they looked at it that way, they would know it is very cheap).

Yes... I see your point of view finally and I agree and disagree, if it is over $500, i dissagree, you should just buy a sony clie, and a Mp3 player, but if it is about $300 I agree with you. How much is it? |

Can you play nice games like the Zodiac has...no. Does it have a graphics card...no. Does it have 128mb RAM...not even close. Does it have a 3d graphics engine..no. Does it have dual expansion slots...no. Does it have an SDIO slot...no, does it have dual batteries...no. Does it have dual stereo speakers...no. The Zodiac is way better than a Clie...I'm sorry if you don't believe that.

The Zodiac was officially announced today and you can now place pre-orders. I ordered one this morning, the Zodiac 2. They are shipping in Oct., some think mid-October.
So I realize that the Palm version will run on Zodiac, but does the current binary release fully exploit Zodiac's abilities (graphics engine, stereo sound, etc.) or is there a separate release coming? What will WFI support on Zodiac that is unique from other PDA's? |

Have you even seen what it looks like? There is a hard button on the top (for bluetooth, but may be able to be used for other things (if you change it in the system), not sure), there is a button right above the anolog controller (left side of handheld), and there are two below that. There are also two triggers on the top/side of the handheld, like a GBA. On the right hand side of the handheld there is the four key directional pad.
In total, there are 10 hard keys, 11 with the anaolg controller (18 if you include all of the moves it can do). Soft buttons? What do you mean, the reset button? That is on the back and you use the styuls tip to reset it, like with the T|T. The writing area is like on a Clie, it is part of the graphics, and you can have it there, or you can have it gone. |
