Its been 3 years now that i have my ipodtouch 2g, and im thinking switching to a new one 4g, mainly because mine is slow as hell now, and i would like to have a new one, faster too. A 2g only has 60mb ram, so for the new apps, it always crashes. So im asking if it really worth it or not, as i only want to buy a 8GB, only for gaming and stuff, and not for movies and music and other things requiring space. The price is around $200.

If the issue is more want than need, then I would wait about three and a half months for the fifth-generation iPod touch, which is speculated to debut in early September. Apple traditionally updates its iPod lineup in September, and since that is relatively close from now, it's worth the extra wait to get the latest features. I'm also considering upgrading later on this year, depending on the new features.

200$ so you are buying a phone or itouch?
if your getting a nother 8g then dont upgrade.
if you want a 3.0 iphone 8g they are selling them chaep with the phone plan i would suggest that.

dont make that the main reason cause their alwasy making things faster then yesterday. unless you like to gather info alittle bit faster but its not worth it your device is not that old.
if your getting it for games and movies you cant play for some reason. then get 16g or more to hold more then 8g

in a years time the iPod 4g will be considered "slow as hell", what then?
Anyways i say go for it, if your like me then you use your iPod for pretty much everything.
What are you going to do with your old iPod?
Also keep in mind that if you buy a new iPod it will be running OS 4.3...

It's a lot more expensive after you have it for about half a year because of monthly payments.

I found that when I had a itouch and normal phone I kept losing one or the other cos I brought them along with me sways. With a iPhone it may be more expsenaive but def worth it in my opinion cos it's 2 in1

when the 4g came out, i was already exspecting it, with the ontegrated camera and the mic and the retina display. I just dont know how the 5g will be better than the 4g. Maybe a slimmer version? Or more RAM? i just dpnt know how it will be better, as the 4g is already almost perfect.
