anyone done or seen this? with an ipod

i replaced my LCD and my screen on my itouch 2ndgen cause i left it in 1/2 inch of water. the the screen didnt respond to my touch i was thinking it was just random and so was the letters.


so i replaced the LCD it works fine after i found out the new LCD didn't come with a black strip that compleated the connections so i used the original black strip.

the screen works fine it came with the home button payed a little extra. my old screen cracked.

i said in my second sentence

i did not lift my finger up in the left center. also my home button isnt working so great either it was the same problem with my old screen after the water damage. what to do?

Try taking it in to get fixed at like bestbuy or an actual apple store

told my story and some one told me to set the itouch as new device in itunes. so im going to do it to hopefully it will work. first i have to type all my notes out i have about this game. so it wont be lost. will be posting on certion pages.

Wait wonderer I am slightly confused.

Is the middle of the screen not responsive? Is that why there's a white line through the middle?

yes the white is the part i cant grab or touch.

as you can see in the scecond picture i can sometimes get through it but most of the time i cant

first picture is my finger going up and done just once on the whole screen the second picture is my finger going side ways just once. i havent done anything yet still writing up my notes

I've seen that problem with my itouch. I gave it to my girlfriend who dropped it into the sink while I was washing the dishes...

My screen became unresponsive in the top left. from the top left corner to bout 1.5cm down and 2cm to the right.


My girlfriend said she would take care of the problem and gave it back to me 2 weeks later all fixed. She said she blow dried the touch everyday and put it in rice. But I think she just took it to the apple store and got it fixed..

an update on what im going to have to do. i synced my itouch to the itunes and set it as a new device thinking it would help with the wifi problem and or the areas that it wont pick up my finger movement.

it didnt do anything if anyone sets up as new device in itunes just take a picture of your notes and phone book and save it on your computer when you sync it up.

im going to take it to some guy tomarrow to see if he has ever seen a problem like this and get some advice and just do the job my self.

its a learning experince. well see what happens im just glad ipod parts dont cost much very cheap pricing everewhere i seen it's all around the same price for parts

ok all that did happen but i charged my ipod in the wall and got up this morning and IT WAS ABLE TO READ MY FINGER MOVEMENT THANK MY IPOD FOR WORKING. im unsure what did it cause all i have been doing is playing music and trying to get wifi up with out being able to touch certion parts on my ipod. all inow is that the ipod may have needed sometime to get its head straight.

but still no wifi

im going to put it in right now and see if it works it should work if it dont then i wont be back and i will have to leave since i wont be getting a ipod any time soon so their will be no point in staying on the forum
