it might be helpful if there was a way to minimize or reduce the map screen. When the maps are large it covers a large portion of the playable screen area and blocks anything that may reside in those areas

It would be really nice if you could 'send' units to a spot using the map screen, a la C&C.

A map minimize feature would be F*#kin wonderful!!!
I would also like a little alert to flash on the map when I'm attacked...it's been done in many pc rts's it cant be too hard to do
...come on spiffcode, you know you want to

Keep the fog of war. I love it.
Send out at SR-98 Eagles if you want to see more. Tap on Eagle to send / tap on small map in lower right side of screen / tap in the black area in middle of main screen. Voila . All will be revealed once the Eagle gets there.
Am I missing something.

Just that it would be nice to send the unit to the black space, just by clicking on said black space, like you can in C&C, etc.
And I do like the idea of having units under attack flash on the small map.
Perhaps an option to automatically go there, that could be turned on/off from the options panel.

This would be a great addition to the options menu.
