I would like to delete my account, but I'm unable to find the option to do this.

It is not possible to delete your acc. Only mods or scottlu can

Are you positive that you want to do this? I can delete your account, however it cannot be undone. May I ask what your motive is?

Out of curiosity, if someone deletes their account, can someone else use the exact name again? Or will that account name be lost forever?

I'm not entirely sure; I don't delete many accounts. However, there has never been an incidence where an account is recreated after it has been deleted, so I would lean more towards the "lost forever" option.
