Andy and Jana have just returned from their honeymoon. Andy is immediately thrust in the midst of a fierce battle. There is plenty of Galaxite and plenty of enemies to destroy.
If you like action then this is for you. There is non stop action on this level. However, you will still need to develop some tactical strategy to win. Simply creating a massive force of troops and vehicles will not do it. This level has been created to play over and over again. I have not had any beta testers to help with creation, so please provide feedback. Ideas on improving the level will be greatly appreciated. Interesting level, I played 3 times and was unable to complete the mission. If there is some secret you may need to let the player in on it. I understand that this is not completed by brut force but with the enimy coming in some fast you have too staff up.
I am missing something.. |

I'm thinking the same thing...have played it a bunch of times, each with a different tactic, and I still cannot figure out how to get through this one.
The constant regeneration of the enemy forces seems to be too overpowering to defeat them, and with a combination of losing bullpups to the enemy, and running out of glaxite, in the end it has always come down to my selling buildings to try to save myself. ....and this is at "easy." I think you might have made this level too difficult, but perhaps I am just missing something that you could perhaps shed some light on.....? |

I have made some adjustsments to the triggers. As I stated earlier no one has helped me test this mission. Since I am the creator of the Mission of course I know how to win.
I will give a few hints:
Thanks, Keith |

I played it twice and completed the level on the second try. Nice level, I like that action and the fact that you have to pay attension to what is going on.

Tried a few times, before I completed it.
I turned out to take a real effort, to get enough production running to keep the required force in the field. I think I built totally 25 bullpups and ten processors (some sold and new built, when I ran out of nearby galaxite) to keep the production of forces running. |

aperssonal850,
One of the things that I love about this game is that you lose track of time. I have started playing the game and got so involved that 2 hours had passed in what seemed like only 10 minutes. I specifically designed this level to keep you so busy you wouldn't have to look at the clock. This level requires your total attention. If you forget to build units enemy forces will overpower you. If you don't pay attention to your bullups you will run out of credits. If you don't fortify your base, enemy forces will overrun you. |

Hey excellent mission ! Many thanks for it
Completed it on my 2nd go but this is one level i keep going back to as its what i love, tons of action and fighting. I love the base in the corner, difficult to attack that base because of hte guns and the narrow lanes into the base. Superb stuff, hope you do another similar game !! What i would love to see is a Warfare version of two classic Command and Conquer maps i used to play, Lake Tahoe and Calderas Gold i think it was called. |

Great mission....I happen to beat it on my first attempt.
$181,815 in mining 599 units destroyed 49 building destroyed completed in 1:20 min. I like the challenges that the creator placed in the mission. Very well thought out. Good job, and I look forward to your next challenge |

Jazz3D1,
I'm glad you enjoyed this mission. I am currently working on 2 other maps. I should be able to post them in a couple of days. I was wondering if I should upload the missions separately or in a mission pack? I would appreciate feedback from anyone. |

I really love this mission! I felt 'Full Front Assault' was hard, After I played this one, FFA becames a piece of cake! I play about 5 times before I beat it. My speed is set to 100% and difficulty is set to hard.
Is ver1.3 easier or harder than ver1.2? Hope don't lower its difficulty in future. |

I did lower the difficulty in the last version. I had read some excellent content from the moderators about making missions too hard. I will concentrate in the futrue on using the $difficulty variable to make the mission tougher for more experienced players. I am impressed I can't beat the level on 100% hard and I created it. LOL

briefly, Create 2nd & 3rd bases and create elite troops, which comprise liberators, cyclops and hydras. I don't use human resource centre. build up the troops near the cliff, and wait enemy to come under our crossfire. meanwhile, create troops until limit reached, then launch decisive assault---that's what amagedon means, destroy enemy base one by one. the second base should be created at the west side of the map, that's the key to success. if I follow you advice to create towers, I'll definitely fail, as too many cyclops' roaming around.
I stongly hope you keep the difficulty, or make two versions of the mission. I play this mission every day. |

Keith, here's a review of Warfare where the reviewer mentions playing this mission and calls it a blast:

It's rewarding to know that others are truly enjoying something that you have created. Thanks for pointing this out to me Scott. Now I'm ready to create an even better missions.

Sometimes, when I quit or save the game, it causes fatal error, I don't know it's up to your mission or the program itself.
For other missions you created, when a unit goes to a crater, the unit is hidden, as if it's coverd by the image of crater. |

I have played this mission many times and I have not come across the type of behavior you are mentioning. What type of device are you using? |

I downloaded the mission from this thread, however, it says it's armageddon1.2, and I compare it with previously downloaded one, they are identical, maybe I downed a wrong version?

Great level!
If at first you don't succeed....I just completed this level for the first time, probably tried it a couple dozen times before I found the strategy that worked. It is very challenging, probably an intermediate+ level overall, and it was incredibly entertaining. Great job! |

Fantastic Level!
Armageddon is the most entertaining and challenging level I have played so far. Very challenging. Before I knew it 2 hours had passed, and it was still as engaging as the first 5 minutes. Great job. I'm definitely looking forward to any further mission packs you send our way! |

HELP !!! I have been trying for over dozen times and I still can't figure out a way to beat this. I find it difficult enough to beat the "red" (OMNI?) troops let alone fightling/defendnig both enemies at once.
I tried all the hints suggested at the forum : I built 3 bases (south west, south , south east) each with 10 towers , I built extra towers at the south west corner ( where the OMNI cyclops/hydras/liberators appears from no where constantly). The best I have done is to reach as far as and to destroy the headquarter of the OMNI, but by that time, I have only 1 or two solders left and no credits left !!, I had to sell alot of my buildings to continue, but then some how even though I destroy 2 - 3 of their bullups, they keep on coming with huge numbers!! Sorry for the longwinded message, but could someone "spell" it out ( like an Amaggadon for dummies like me?) how to beat this level before my wife divorce me for spending too much time on this? |

This level is designed to keep the enemy coming until you reach certain areas. Not only must you defend your base but you must also advance your troops. Make sure you destroy the enemies bullups or he will continue to produce troops. However, before you begin attacking the enemies bases make sure you have control of the neutral area in the center of the board.
Once you have control of the center of the board, position your troops at the base of one of the enemies. Once you begin attacking it is important that you completely destroy the base before you attack the other base. I hope this helps. |

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it. This was my first level I created. I tried to keep to the type of game that made me fall in love with WI. In my opinion it is the best mission I've created and one of the hardest to win.

I've had your missions on my Tungsten/E for a while now, but until recently (when my wife went out of town) had never had the chance to give them the time/attention they deserved. Knelson, you write some of the most thoroughly challenging and thoroughly absorbing missions around, and I've enjoyed the heck out of them! I liked the layout on this mission, and am constantly impressed by the fact that I seem to just barely have enough galaxite to finish the mission, but I don't run out altogether! (Heck, that's true of ALL your missions
It was pretty easy to figure out where the individual bases were in this one, but getting to them was another matter altogether, and I began to feel as though I were landing troops on Omaha Beach! Excellent mission overall, and this review was long overdue! |

PhillipEarl, thanks for your review. As you probably know a lot of work goes into creating a mission and getting the proper balance of enemy troops and galaxite. Feedback from players are the one source of inspiration to continue creating challenging missions.

What a mission! I failed it twice before slowing the time down and focusing on controlling my bullpups.
Build slowly, establish second bases, keep the FRs at bay while you fight Omni (or vice versa). Well done Keith, highly commended - its guys like you that make this game so much more than what it is! |

Nice mission. It took me about ten tries and a million saves, but I finally finished it.
Enemy units destroyed: 820 Enemy buildings destroyed: 49 Credits acquired/spent: 198,850/198,850 Elapsed time: 1:50:35 A note to the developer: Please make another! Also, the auto-generating forces were particularly frustrating. Once the galaxite is gone and the money runs out, the opposition should not be able to create new units. At the end, the FR's kept regenerating and nearly wiped me out even though both sides were in a no money/galaxite situation. It wasn't until I took a different route (NE) that things went better. That said, the auto-regeneration might be what makes this mission so good. It ain't easy to win. Excellent work. For those still stuck and can't finish: Stop reading if you don't want to know how I managed to complete the mission. It may be construed as a spoiler even though all of this has been mentioned before. ****************** If you are having trouble finishing the mission, the thing that helped me was once the initial SE base gets going, it's good to start another base due S, then from there attack the SW corner. (All mentioned before, and good advice imho.) Then once you've got the bottom of the board, send out large groups of hydras and liberators into the center to stake out galaxite spots. Once you send out large groups (ten or so) to protect certain areas, you can really mine a lot of galaxite. (Controlling the center really helped me.) I had ten or so bullpups and five processors. I needed about 300k in credits to build a sufficient army to take out omni and the FR's once the galaxite was gone. And even then I had 0 credits and three hydras left at the end. Another thing mentioned before that I did not initally do: slow down the game. I used .66 speed. takayuki |

Well, looking at all of these postings of successful winners. I guess it's beatable. I must have played about 30+ times and never totally defeated it. But, I didn't read any of the tips either. Some of those things I did anyway, but I haven't tried some of the others.
