About mods

To answer recent questions about mods: Mods are meant to prevent two things:

1. A player abusing / hazing another player.
2. A player "taking over" the chat room by being disruptive, so that others can't use the chat room for what it is intended for.

They are *not* meant to prevent anyone from enjoying the game. Obviously the above two rules require judgement call, and mods won't always get it right. My goal is to have a fun game, not anything other than that.

About the swear word filter: it was put in place because before it, the chat room was a profanity filled place to be. That is not my intent with the game. I want people to play, and be able to chat without players cussing at them, which I consider abusive. Since I made the game, I get to decide that, so blame me.

Finally: if you have a complaint about a player (mod or otherwise), PM me. When I see complaints on the public form I will delete them, and send a PM to the author asking them to PM me directly next time. The public forum is not the place to address issues with players or mods.

Like I said, I'm not debating or discussing issues with players or mods in a public forum. These sorts of issues get resolved in private. As a first step, please consider directly PM-ing the person you have an issue with. That may be the fastest way of resolving it. If that doesn't work or you'd rather not, please PM your concerns to me or one of the mods you are comfortable with.

Like I said, I am not discussing player or mod issues in a public forum. I suggest if you want to talk with me, we set up a private chat Friday night, and we can talk about the issues you have as long as you want.
