Iv been looking up about this (written as [LastDiscovery]) and cant find anything much about it.
at the moment i'm guessing it makes some kind of area within the sight range of the last unit of your own thats moved.
does anyone know anything more and would like to shed some light on this?

If you look at the Discovers Side condition, it gives a description at the bottom of the window. This description first states what a "Discovery" is, and then continues, in the last sentence, to pertain to the "[Last Discovery]" area. It reads as follows:

"Discovery means that a unit owned by side B has become visible to a unit owned by side A (and implicitly, vice-versa). The virtual area [Last Discovery] is initialized at discovery time and is positioned over the unit found."

In other words, it means that when two units meet up and are visible to each other. This is how it would work: Say that you have two Broadswords. One is side1 (Blue) and the other is side2 (Red), and both of them are set to defender aggressiveness. The side2 Broadsword moves closer to the side1 Broadsword square by square. The moment where the side1 Broadsword voluntarily attacks the side2 Broadsword would be the discovery.

This can be quite troubling, so if you have any other questions about it I'll try my best to answer them. Hope this helps!

thanks for the explanation Nate :)
I can see the usefulness of having a movable area in the game.
but wouldn't discovery be when the unit of a specified side enters that of a given other, rather than when they fight?
