I have yet to successfully complete a level that does what I want. Every time something goes wrong when I try and set up the triggers. The first time when I send the level to my Clie it was called <untitled>, which is not what I named it. Then when I tried to run it a window popped up that said something that I don't remember but it had something to do with an initialization error I think. Then I started over and made a new level completely however, at first the bullpups instead of mining near their base came right into mine to get the stuff near my base and are quickly wiped out by my guard towers. With no money the other team is unable to do anything and the level sucked. So, I want back and attempted to fix this and then the next time I tried to run it the game kept freezing within a few minuets of starting the game. Overall in my opinion this program needs a lot of work to make it more user friendly, this program needs to be simplified greatly before it can be released to the public. The average computer user probably won’t be able to get anything done with this program and will soon give up. The program is potentially very powerful and allows you to customize the level the way you want. The upgrades done to the program for Palm OS 5 is amazing, the games funs about 100X smoother and faster then before. Keep up the good work on Warfare Inc.

Have you read the earlier posts in this forum? There are many hints to be found there about making levels work. Also some people have posted work-arounds for some of the more common problems with the editor.

Kekaab, thanks for the opinion. You are right, mission authoring is not for everyone. Creating a nice looking, balanced, interesting, fun to play mission is complicated, takes a lot of work, a lot of attention to detail, and this is independent of M's user interface which has its own issues.

A proper disclaimer is required in the documentation so that people don't get the impression that it is simple.

Are there any plans to come out with some sort of manual for this program to help you get started?

Verdagon is working on the FAQ and Wizard is working on the documentation, and we plan to include both in a .chm (Windows help file) that can be called up from the Help menu. In addition we'll host both on the authoring forum.
