Warfare Inc. is really the first game of this kind that I have played.

What are the most comparable games for PC?

A PC game called "War Inc." which is virtually identical except for much better gamplay because it is on a PC (i.e. there is air units, grouping, waypoints, escorting, and cheat codes). How much closer can it get?! The names are even practically the same. My family got this game from Office Max or somewhere a long time ago. Its was not a mainstream game, but it was fun as heck. The gameplay of Warfare Incorporated is so close to the PC game I thought Handmark and everyone else knew they were related.

See links to the game on ebay:

and also, a search for "War Inc cheat codes" (not the phrase, just those four words) brings up tons of hits in reference to the PC game.

I have to add, though, that having this game on my Palm = priceless.

edit:
I found links to reviews of the PC game. Reading them helped me remember about the financial aspect of the game where you kind of play the stocks. I don't remember why, but I somehow avoided that, and the game was just like any other RTS game to me.
