lol I had trouble with this too. Turns out it wasn't a really difficult task to do!

Open up your map editor, and look at the top left box. it should contain all the stuff you can place in the map (from HQ to units to scenery). Click and hold the bar under it, and drag it down to enlarge the box. Voila! The replicator and pads were hidden because the box wasn't big enough to display them all
