kou, if you are complaining about Lawrence's HUGE mappack, try looking at your full pack. it's too big, i liked it better when they were small map packs

and yes i agree lawrence should get rid of his huge map pack

I understand what you are saying kou. My reason for having split up map packs derived from my superpack is so that if someone only wants one or 2 of my maps then they can download the individual packs rather than having a huge lump of maps.
Btw u have made me feel special making a topic about me :) thanks

U just gave me an idea! To see the best maps we could look at the last 100 maps played and see which ones are the best. It's a good idea I know :)

As an observation I have found that people tend to like a few of my maps and hate the rest. However the ones change from person to person, if u catch my drift ;)

Post Posted: Sun Jul 04, 2010 9:30 pm  Post subject: Current oversized mission pack rules

First off, I just have to remind everybody who uses the forums(not just map makers) to please vote! This poll will help me tremendously in the current map problem I am dealing with, which is oversized mission packs (more than 10 missions in a mission pack). Here are the existing rules associated with oversized mission packs:

â–º Multiplayer Mission Packs containing over 10 missions must be separated in a mission pack or mission packs of 10 missions or less.
â–º Separated mission packs are allowed one oversized mission pack for those related missions, which I will refer to as a "main mission pack."
â–º All missions must be included from the main mission pack.

Now, here are a few rules concerning oversized mission packs that could very easily be implemented:

â–º A Multiplayer Mission Pack containing more than 10 missions may not exist, and will be quarantined. This would counteract the second existing rule listed above.
â–º Multiplayer Mission Packs conatining more than 10 missions and are separated must include some sort of character(s) as the beginning character of the topic name that would therefore put it nearest to the bottom of the map pack list as possible. For instance putting a lowercase "z" or a tilde ("~") as the beginning character would be very acceptable.
â–º Every map in a main mission pack must have the first character(s) of the map name to aware players that the map is apart of the main mission pack. A fantastic example of this is that Lawrence has included a period as the first character of every map in his "####*SuperPack-FULL###". Thank you for that, Lawrence.

Please post your opinions on these as soon as you get the chance. That would be greatly appreciated. The second rule is most likely to be brought in.

My apologies for the extensive post. Thank you for reading it, and I hope you have read it throughly, as it contains everything that may effect your maps in the soon-to-come future.

Say hypothetically speaking someone has just seperated their maps into 4 groups of 15. Does that person have to go back and find a way to seperate their pack into groups of 10?
Edit~ just read all ur post and that person would have to put their packs at the bottom of the list

here's a thing to do on the next pack for map makers go to a player and ask what kind of map would you like to see.(don't ask me until later if ou want.) and see what they like and stop guessing to see if they like it.? if this a bad idea then delete it.

Make party mix become independent.

1 party mix pack(party mix , large , large alliance)
2 party mix pack(large , large alliance)

Many people are pleased.
