All suggestions on this game are from supreme commander 2 for xbox360 and pc...

1.instead of mining their should be special points that you build a building on that gives you_$ per sec. This adds more strategy and frees space on the maps

2.add air see and land.
This opens the game to way more strategy and each unit type has severe weaknesses/strenghts ex. Air bomber highly effects ground units but cant defend afainst air fighters or anti-air turrets/ground units and subs can hit ships but only ships whil the battle ship can shell ships and ground bases/units...

3. Nuke the nuke can be genereated at a nuke silo but you can also build a nuke protwction building that acts like a sheild over a certain radius.

4.energy.
Can be built anywhere but intead of a set amout of power given it gives per second and you can build more to raise how much u gain per sec.

5.leader units/expeirimentals
These units have their own production factory and have massive traits like dreadnaught sub that can severly hurt ships but has low armor and is usless against other subs.

6.this is my idea of unit types
Ground: tank:basic armor good against ground units weak damage

Mobile rocket: tank with higher ground unit damage but weaker armor

Mobile Anti-air: heavy air damage no ground defence

Artillary: heavy ling distance damage no close range defence or air damage

Air...

Fighters: heavy air unit damage, cant hit ground or sea units

Gunships: moderate ground damage, low air damage

Bombers: low armor heavy ground damage, no air damage

Air transport: carries 25 ground units to any location but low armor and if destroyed will kill all units inside

Sea...
Subs: can only hit ships and can only be hit by subs (or torpedoes*)

Cruiser: heavy air damage and moderate stationary ground damage

Battle ship: heavy ling range ship damage and can hurt ground units/base.
Usless against subs

Air craft carrier: protects air unit until deployed

7.turrets: land and anti air turrets

8.mortar
Building that gives long range HEAVY damage to ground units to protect base.

*9. Research tree
Building that gives research pts slowly over time, the more u build the faster u get pts and their will be a tree that can rais unit stats, equip torpedoes, sheilds, and research individual units, cuts production costs, time; can be used on air, land, naval, buildings and acu**

**10.acu:leader of ur base
Can build, fight, but if killed you lose, can be upgraded with weapons sheilds etc.

11.engineers:
Can be built in any unit building, it is a unit that builds buildings and turrets it can travel on ground and water but has weak armor.

12.factory add ons: when you go to to ur unit factorys you can add things such as sheild turrets and radar that help add to base protection

13:sheid generator: gives a sheild over a radius that defends against ground units and ships but can be breached by air units.

None of these should be thought about until graphics but they are ideas that will make this game a true RTS

Kilik these r all standard rts ideas. I like this game because it's different. But also think of how long it would take with dozens of units and buildings and bases needing all sorts of protection. We don't need games lasting as long as the battery of an iPod! Additionally the tutorials and campaign would need refiguring not to mention I think price would explode and scott is alone! I like lots of rts games and alot of them have all of those, but while it sounds awesome and fun matches would be really long and hard. For all the people who want sea and air, I think it would be cool if there was battles for just seas or just air. Then while fun with new bounds u can still just play the game fir a few minutes instead of like an hour. Don't get me wring there good ideas but for an iPod platform it's really complex. How much memory would it need? With new graphics it's already more probably. I also just think it's such a standard way for rts games. This game is fun cause it gets right into the building. I found this one game that takes days! Therty six hours to build one building! That's soooo boring! This game takes five seconds for one building and like two minutes for an army! I really enjoy the pace.

These ideas wont make games last longer it will simply give it new possibilities on fighting and plus some of these ideas u have said before

If u dont like them then dont comment let others take care of this cuz you have no valid reason to shut my post down like that

Ps. Scott would have to change things to add content we know but scott already likes the idea of new units and other things

Changing tutorials is as simple as changing the dialog and map setup

Adding the content is the hard part

The first thing i saw was #1 no miners WTF I don't play rts games like most people here but mining is real life $ isn't just handed over to you cause you made base/hq.

#10 WTF I only have 6 fingers holding the game and 3 of the are useing to control the game.

I'm not saying I don't like ideas I love ideas. But I also like this games style. I'm not trying to put u down I could say a whole bunch of crap about how nukes would be cool and new tanks but I figure everyone else will day that. I'm criticing it trying to see hoe it would do. Yeah btw ur right about tutorial.

kilik you base your ideas off Supreme commander, I base mine off Starcraft lol

as for your nuke idea, it'd be better WITHOUT a nuke shield. That would just complicate gameplay. Have the player guard it with his gatling/rocket/or maybe anti-air turrets himself

Wait he means like defend ur own base not the silo. So a shield for itself.

Wonderer: their is mining just nit to the extreme this is how ot would work, ur base comes with saaay two (for lack of original name) mass extractors which are built on mass deposit pads now for the rest; they are scattered around the map so it will be a challenge to defend yours so its mining but in a cleaner style

Trine: the protection would be a set radius and can only guard against somany nukes and ONLY nukes so it wouldnt complicate it i mean their wasnt something then it would be a nuke spam match

Trine its not defending nukes it will defend a part of your base FROM nukes like a sheild

i want every part of a base to be vulnerable to a nuke attack

Believe they r high powered energy rifles. Or a bunch of pixels on an rts app, idk which.
