There could be an airport structure that makes air units and walls could be built in-game!!

This topic has been discussed before and when I first joined I agreed with these. However, as you create maps you start to realize that terrain makes the game and the maps. If you could just go over terrain then the game would be ruined. The only way is for air units to be EXTREMELY weak, I mean like 2x weaker than cyclopses and with very low range, attack, and speed. But just imagine Balance of Terror with no terrain.
Now, as for walls, they would be VERY hard to get through. That would be a great defencive strategy and with no attacking. Noobs would feast off of this. The only way I'm saying yes to walls is to have them be destructable. That's only fair.

still, air units would be great... like carpet bombers :D

and when i meant buildable walls, i meant that they could be destroyed. If they can't then it would just ruin the game

Air units, walls, and to prevent infantry from being neglected we could have infantry transport, bunkers, and like a buildable special soldier (kind of like Andy but weaker)

To be honest air units would be pretty awesome yes but it would make it far more complicated and difficult to play it will also probably ruin the maps.

Id much rather prefer to have sea units+air units as A DIFFERENT game style so you have sea+air and ground+troops

Air units don't really appeal to me... I dunno why, I gues I just don't want to see this game too complicated. And if u think about it power gens can be walls, u can build them in game, you cannot pass through them, and you can destroy them.

It's having to think on an added level, u have to take into account that they can go over any terrain and can only be hurt by certain units. Imagine your first game youd have no idea as to why u keep losing!

if u have no idea y ure losing in your first games, then that person must be blind and cant see air units ;)

lol... air units just means more units and expanded strategy (instead of always pumpin out cyclops, libs, hydras, and troopers)

I don't really have a thing for air units. Yes, it would make the game slightly more complex (you would need a couple more tutorial missions), but that's the least of my worries. Air units would dominate, and in order to make them fair, you would have to make them so weak, expensive, and poor firing, that it wouldn't be worth it to create them. There might be a medium for it to be fair and worth making, but it would be slim plus extremely uneasy(the gameplay constantly changes). However, I think that an air unit similar to a raider would be perfect. Something that slips in right at the last minute to weaken the enemy's defenses. A bomber with no other defense(no turret attached), and that can be fairly-easily destroyed but is quick and apprehensive. I would love an air unit like that.

galm like you say you make so many. and like everyone says it only takes a few mins to make a map. slow your role and think about the maps ask others for advice. I made an ID to play some rand random maps. like that annxx map made bye lawerance that's trash. all you do is build those highjackers people. and take over each other bases beside each other. a nother random map you have to build 20 hq just to win even if you destory the other player you still need 20 hqs. another race to lawerance island I think. the objective is to get to the middle with about 20 tanks and all the players start on top how are those three maps any good for this game. another one you start and you have to build to the right but $ is every where but you have unlimited $. crazy thing is you just have to take over thief base and you win in 3mins.

Air to air units sounds fabulous! I've never thought of that before. The more I think about it, the more I realize it's just the air to ground and ground to air attacks that I don't like. If air units were only allowed to attack other air units it would work out perfectly. Except for the fact that when an air unit went by it would clear up the area and ruin strategies. A solution would be to have the air unit not clear it up so much. Possibly only be able to see air units and air unit factories when it's defogged.

air would be cool but they must cost more and be weaker to cylops but have higher killing rate then hydra and the other big tank.
I'm talking about two different flying tanks.

so for one flying tank could kill 3 tank
one flying tank could kill 6 peole but the rocket louncher could kill them faster then the guards.
cylops and airtank would kill each other.

Nate, if air units are all just air to air, its useless. we need a air to ground unit, an air to air unit to counter that bomber unit, and a transport to carry your land units around (and thereby getting rid of UNREACHABLE TERRAIN)

Yes, I would love to be able to build and destroy the built walls. Only the walls the have been built though; not the ones included in the creation of the map. Here's another thought: If we really did eventually end up with air units, maybe a wall for air units would be good as well. That way it would prevent air units going in certain places. These would obviously be destructible as well.

i think that air transports would be great... that could rally add on to strategys. for example, since dominions are so slow you could load your dominion on the troop transport and fly it some where.

However i do not really like armed airiel units. i think that that would turn WI more into a RTS tower defence game than a RTS battle game.

The i am however in total agreement with aerial troop transports. :D

Then there should be more ground units such as suicide bombers, transporters, teleporters, snipers, the ultimate unit that takes 5 min to create( like thor in SC2). And also more buildings, more upgrades, superweapons, more unique characters ( other than ANDYS AND FOXES), and for the landscape, a bigger river, more bridges and more, without considering the graphics. Thus, this game needs a lot of
improvements and has been unchanged for years n.ow

good point trine, however if you added buildable walls, i am positive someone would take advantage of that and build a large maze the entire game, just to get someone mad, and not actually play, just do that so the opponent would resign.... :twisted: :twisted:

You could call those special weaker andys snipers, and (all starcraft players will know what im talking about) there should be an added building called the missile silo so you can nuke your opponent(s)!

build times galm. A nuke could take like 1 minute or more to build. Gives the enemy plenty of time to disrupt it.

Cmon guys it useless giving Scott a new idea to improve the app game. If he want to add new features in the app then he might as well create new game.

Adding this feature takes long and need someone who does coding. I don't even think Scott still have contact to that person who helped him out build this great game. It's been 7-8 years since they made this.

Scott adds new features to the game all the time. Like the /swap command and the /anon command. Also, some people are learning coding so they can help Scott with the game .

Well... A couple of months ago he said that hes was working on the graphics and more , and hes gonna make a major update, but he didnt say when, so i guess its gonna be soon(in 2 years xD)

I know basically the date it's soon they r patching and making new challenge maps and I think finishing the graphics, the designer is a guy who worked on battlefront.

Great idea!!!!!! Lol. Make a third upgrade for air units. And on thesecond upgrade make the land units to get air units. Also some defensive towers for air units.. Etc. If not. Make a couple of maps with sea units only. Etc.

I could help making some graphix. Icons. Logos. Etc.

Ok make it simple! Make and extra base with 1 air unit
heliandy! And allow the tanks to fire at those as well.

Or just make an extra unit available. The andys!!!!! And only allow a limmited amount (let's say 10) because we know they r strong. So jus that few would change the game play in my opinion!

well air units are probably not going to happen because its hard to make 3d stuff (i think the only game i built was a number guessing game) and it would take a long time amusing that who ever made this would be a one man band and not a load of people like gamloft. I Am not a really good programer so don't bet to much on it.

i agree with nate, air units would ruin maps that rely on strategy. I would however like to see an artillery type of unit, these would require a surveillance center and wouldn't move (like a turret) except it would not fire automatically (so you would have to select the unit and select where to attack) and would be able to attack anywhere explored, to make this fair it should have a high range but not able to attack close to it, it should also require alot of space (3x3) and be limited to one or two, another thing is that it can destroy your own troops if your not careful.

long idea, complicated programming, im gonna say my idea probably wont happen
