Are forum accounts and multiplayer accounts seperate?

A quick question - are the multiplayer accounts seperate from the forum accounts? My account on the forum for example is 'Callex' (created long before the mutlipler release), however I cant use it for multiplayer; even though it lets me reset the password for it from the multiplayer menu, the login is always invalid.

They are the same. I'll look into why you can't log in to multiplayer.

Thanks a lot! I'll keep you posted if anything changes.

EDIT: If it helps: I joined about a year ago, and I never opted into the multiplayer beta. I'm using an iPhone 3GS, with v1.6 of WI. It works if I use a different account.
