Sorry new people i forgot this group makes and develops maps. Hey nate do u think we should each specialize in a catagory? Im unlimited money buider and u could be standard and also 2v2 and lib can be alternate like industrial zone? just specialize though not only build those.

I actually usually have volume down and never noticed. Standard as in u use galaxite. I never and lib uses pads I intustrial zone.

Keel beta is a group where mission makers just post what there working on and other members will give them ideas test the maps and review them. Right now there r three specialists. I make unlimited money if uve ever plaued one of my maps:) Nate likes 2v2 and doesn't use unlimited money and t-33 lib who hasn't posted due to school hours works on alternative ways of money like stepping on pads to gain cash. It's actually pretty cool what he made.

Oh yeah hehe when I played in that I was pissed because the map wasn't supposed to have backdoors but I had to put them other wise it always says terrain unreachable which is SO annoying! But now trying to do that is stupid because most people know to defend from raiders doing that. Sorry about the screenshots though only lib knows how to do that I think he posted how under the members only thread so check that one out.

Idk if Soviet is gone. The last game he played was on February 20, 2010. BTW everybody I just updated Fight for jr! So it is now fully workable and there are no glitches.

Hey u guys know we should do? Can we post different files on one post for mission sharing? We should make a junk profile and all post our maps and have one massive map pack! We'd have so many missions then! Also Lawrence it would be gr8 if u worked on pads.

It's great that u mentioned both ideas, first, would we be allowed to create a megapack of all of our maps while still being able to have our own personal copies? And I'm actually planning a new map with pads, but with all of my previous pads, to make them work I've had to create an area over them and then create a trigger. Is there an easier way?
Oh and I think that to put all of our maps together one pc would have to download them all and then merge them into a single pdp file, bags not :)

I personally find it extremely obnoxious to find that when I download a map that I want, I get plagued with a bunch of other maps I didn't want. It also blocks them together so I have to file through the maps I don't want to get to maps i do want.

As for this whole 50-missions-in-one thing I disagree. I don't want to have to download 50 mission just to get the few I want. That's why I organize the maps I've made by subject.

Yes I have fixed the bug, but I haven't gotten around to making my desired improvments yet :roll: and I'm not sure that there are any end mission triggers in bot 1v1, in my opinion that game is plagerised anyway :?

Hey this is for ALL MAP CREATORS! I have found the perfect number to put into the zoom for the whole map to fit on one screen, without scroll bars. The number is 61.1979. Just click on the number at the top where it says "Zoom Percent" and type in 61.1979.

Lol I like the map but it's all ways a fricking standoff, we had good players and it lasted over an hour and it ended by people quitting because marching troops in a column always resulted in destruction.

Agree, extremely large map packs are annoying. It is also hard to keep track when making them.

hmmm...I kind of like that idea, maybe I'll incorporate maxi-pad on some of my maps that tends to run out of galaxites too fast.

Well, I notice that trying to build a well balance and fair maps around terrains is kind of difficult. Therefore most of my maps are walled and arena like feel.

Have anybody here try to have Advance Bullpup with increase speed? I thought I tested and made that trigger work before, but now I am not so sure. I'm tire of updating my FWR maps, I think they are as good as it is going to get.

Last update (I hope, is today for I-Formation), I took out VT upgrade, since there is nothing to upgrade and do not want people to upgrade and waste their time because they did not know.

The increased bullpup speed doesn't work on my maps that have them either. I have never seen this option on any maps, single or multiplayer as well. I don't think that it works at all. Can Scott clarify if it should or shouldn't work?

EDIT: Under the guide in: Settings > Areas and Triggers > Triggers > Qualifiers > upgrade types it has all upgrade types.
It says "Advanced HRC
Advanced VTS
Increased Bullpup Speed (not implemented yet)"

So apparently it has not been created yet. I hope it does soon!

The two main triggers that make words appear on the screen are mission objective and alert triggers. The mission objective trigger is on the top left of the screen and stays there the whole game, unless ordered to change or not to show up. The alert trigger appears on the bottom left of the screen and only stays for a few seconds, then dissapears. Hope this helps!

Ok galm, first off since ur a mapmaker u must be aware that it takes around half an hour for the map to appear in the download list, u must have checked before it was put on, and secondly my stalking comment was reffering to n@tes news and how he writes where he is or what he is doing

Here's a cool rule only be able to make a certion amount of maps and ask the players which ones to take out. To many maps not being played. Yea it takes a while to make maps but do you real like to scroll 7 times to get to the bottom map? I don't so I don't play past the 3 scrolls.

Done I proposed map mods where maps like kous which r just copies can be deleted and we could also test out maps alone without worrying about other players being in the game.

he just took the map, gave it a more attractive name (unlimieted) <- actual spelling, and posted it?

Well GoG is slightly limited money. You get $1K every 3.5 seconds on 2x speed. Here's the catch: there's a $100K money limit. You can have no more than $100K at any time throughout the match. Maybe I should change it to $1K every 3 sec to make up for the $100K limit, but the idea was to prevent rushing in the beggining, and have semi-limited money like a galxite map, without the galaxite.

Btw I'm REALLY pissed that he copied my map. Take a look.

ok guys wtf i made a game called "Clone Wars FFA" for my minipax 2.

I had 4 replicators, each belonging to their respective sides (side 1 replicator, side 2 repicator, side 3 replicator, side 4 replicator)

Triggers:

Mission Loaded

Turn side 1, side 2, side 3, side 4's replicator to on

When I play the map, all the replicators work, but there are times when one doesnt work.

When I play with all 4 players all the replicators work.
I was playing as blue, my enemies were yellow and red. Mine and red's replicator worked, yellow's didnt.

I played again as blue vs cyan. My replicator did not work (wtf?) but cyan's did

this doesnt mean they weren't turned on, all of them were on but whenever i ordered a unit to replicate in my second game it would just go in the replicator and sit there..

Hmm, so what your saying... Have you noticed that the repicators have the option to sell them when you click on them, they may be affected by the power going red, or lack of money, or how the units curb around it and none can go in or out. To play it safe i would reccomend changing all replicators to side neutral, which means you would have to change a trigger or 2.

update: none of the replicators work for the effected player. i played a game where yellow couldnt clone, however i could clone on HIS REPLICATOR. wtf

u needed to have the players in order to make the replicators work
(ie blue, red, yellow - all replicators work)
(blue, red, cyan - blue and red reps work but cyan cant work any reps)
(blue, yellow, cyan - blue cant work any reps, but yellow and cyan can)

im gunna make a map calling building empires...

theres gunna be different types of resources (a pile of bushes is agricultural, gain +8 credit half second, a pile of trees are wood - gain +10 credit half second, the yellowish plant thing is gold, gain +800 per 15 second, and power generators are houses, giving a passive income tax of 6 credits every 10 seconds for every 3rd power generator. To harvest resources, you must have at least one raider (worker) occupying the area)

there will also be a trading function. bring a merchant (bullpup) to the desired player's pad and transfer 10 credits per second until the bullpup leaves the pad

feedback anyone?

well i just realized that trading would be kinda hard to do, so i might scrap that for a different map

for fighting, you start out with basic infantry, then you acquire enough money and move up to the next "age" (unlocking ability to build more buildings/units) and btw once you get to the industrial "age", you can start building galaxite warehouses (factories) that give resources so you don't need to mine anymore

combat is similar to any other map

yes, kill trigger. It's present in many map editors (like the Starcraft map editor, for instance) it lets you get rid of units in certain areas (like let's say you want to spawn units in the middle of the map, but you want it to be like ammunition (a limited supply of times)

Conditions: Area contains at least 1 raider by side1
Actions: Create Group1
Kill all raider owned by side1 in Area
Preserve trigger

This will let you get rid of the raider, thus diminishing your stockpile of middle spawning opportunities

we also need a suffer death condition

Conditions: [side] suffers [# deaths] of unit
Actions: whatever

oh, well for firing back only when fired at is "self defense" (pretty self explanatory)

in my MILES Laser Tag and Hostage Nego all units are set on pacifist, so the player has complete control over the unit.

Yes I like the idea of top ten greatest maps. This list would be edited every once in a while to get new maps in. Every player who actively uses the forums would nominate maps. It would not be a poll though because polls can't be trusted(multiple IDs).

How about a top ten of each style of mission. 2v2, 1v1, Free For All, Co-op, and Other. It would be good if not only people in BETA would be allowed to have their maps in this "Awsome-Pack". I do like the idea of a single BETA best mission pack though. Maybe if your maps get elected a certain amount of times into any of these Top 10s, you could have a chance of being in the "BETA Best Ten" map pack.

Lol I'd like a destroy trigger most of all. But do u know what would be awesome...
A trigger that can recognise chat, we could interact with the players, ask them questions about the game, like where their units are ect.

No, he means that units in a certain area will blow up/die when the conditions for the trigger r met.

I'd make so many more cool ffa's if we had the kill trigger. But what can we use in the meantime? Maybe side x being allies with neutral and not visa versa. And having a group that will attack all the side x units in an area. And then maybe to get rid of neutral we could let neutral be an enemy
of side x

this beta is for maps only. if thiers a new update scotllu sends a mod like brain to look for testers to test out a few things. but he must pick you thief are some required ments like everything like no bad words or spamming. even thow I am in top10 posters and I do play alot I don't think I'll be a tester anytime soon o well it is what it is. but it's up to him or a mod to see if your in this time or any other time. but like people alwasys posting updates don't come often so don't ask unless you here it from brain or sub thiers somthing happing then you shouldent waste your time asking to test real updates on this game. I'm talking to both or all three of you.

I don't now but brain said no to me cause I curse alot and I don't play that much ( lol I told him o got other ID's so I don't alwasy play as Wonderer) and mini mods don't like me or I don't like them. I wasent to sure cause he said I'll be getting a message if I'm in or not but it's been a while( long time ) so :-/

that would be great but make sure you tell any one that uses your combination to put your name in it too . like in the message during the game say galm made triggers. and the created like Wonderer would have put out the map. so less map design on your part but more brilliant part on your map triggers.

like me I like pertty maps but the triggers are not in my neck of the woods. and any hints would help on making new great maps. ( I got 26 map so planed out but I need the triggers to complete them I got every thing planed out. if I do every map my self then every map will have to be tested which takes time and loses people from play time or fun time.

O I didn't see your last poste glam I should have 26 maps but all have no triggers. I guess I'm waiting for something to come long. Most are simple triggers and others are more harder to trigger if the triggers are possible.
