Think thoroughly about it guys. If nukes were available, then it would be a lot easier and possibly faster to get rid of the opponents which leads to more problems ie 3 minute rule, players disconnecting or resigning. Given the fact that it is a cool idea, using it in this game may be a perfect ingredient for chaos (no pun intended.)
Now if the majority really wants this feature to be added, then much of the gameplay needs to be modified as well. You can't just add nukes without adding other units or something to counter it. And since the admin seems to care about newbies or noobs and anons (they're human beings, too guys) which is a good thing, this will mean that admin has to somehow revise the rules once again to cope up with the newbies instead of the other way around.
Again, good idea by itself...bad idea as a whole.

That's a good point, adding a nuke would change multiplayer (and also mostly likely singleplayer too). A new upgrade to RD or building would have to be added and as mentioned, counter units would have to be added as well.
Not to mention the complete change of gameplay in its entirety.

A nuke would be totally unbalanced. Right now, 4 player matches usually devolve into 1v1 after the weaker players are eliminated, and both players will almost always amass a massive army. The player that exploits the enemy's weakness or dupes the enemy into defending the wrong place will win. A nuke that can destroy an army worth $30,000 credits would allow instant victory for the nuke-launcher.

NOT if they add an iron curtain. the ability to make anything invincible for a short amount of time would be amazing. it would successfully counter the nuke and add another level of gameplay.

NOT if you don't know where the nuke is gonna hit you. An iron curtain can stay as long as you want but you can only use it on a certain spot/range. So even if it stays on for 4 minutes and it takes at least 5 minutes before you can use it again then it'll be worthless.

Then the nuke should take 30 seconds between the nuker pressing launch to landing on the target. A 30 second countdown will appear on all players' top right corner of the screen, and the nuke target zone will be displayed for all players on the map?
And, Happy New Year as well!

yeah or maybe there will be a target where the nuke will land, that way to other person has a chance to get out of there or counterlaunch their iron curtain. (but you can only have one, an iron curtain or a nuke). It would be something you would build. and the iron curtain would be able to be targeted on units and buildings, successfully shielding them from the nuke....

7 min for nuke loading, get known the nuke is comming for 5 seconds (u need to b fast )
and reveal the shroud next to the superweapon, dont make it too overpowered, but should to a small size of damage, but a high damage given

I would prefer Broadswords for that purpose. Cyclops work well when bombarding enemy structures across a river though.

Okay, so when I first plyed this game, I thought of Starcraft. I personally love Starcraft. I probably think starcraft's way of making and using nukes would be best. It take well over 3 mins to upgrade and make it available, and it would also be needing a targeting mobile unit XD.

Well I think that in order to have nukes, you would have to have airplanes. Maybe just one airplane added to the VTS called B12 bomber or something. You would have to upgrade TWICE to get this as well. Then that way, the planes carrying the nukes would have to be fairly easy to be shot down. Also, the nukes couldn't be too powerful, maybe just enough to destroy 2 or 3 buildings, depending on how close together they are. Maybe like a 10x10 area or even a 5x5 are. What would shoot down the airplanes carrying nukes? Air turrets or cyclopses because cyclopses are already like cannons, and the have great range.

idk about the whole nukes thing, then nate u could spam the planes and drop like twenty because they would get through, maybe a lower limit.

There should be nukes I play Starcraft too and I love the "nuclear launch detected"
there should be a countdown to a nuke launch like red alert 2 and you could counter it with air units!! Then we could have nukes AND air units!

Ignoring the fact this thread is old there hasn't been any development to this game that's major since multiplayer, and sadly scott I'm starting to lose hope, u told me there would be more to come in November, and it's kinda been a while:( I really do hope I'm wrong but this is just what I'm thinking.

Nukes would be totally unfair, well...... if you had to gain a certain amount of points to get a nuke that would be kind of cool!
