Not too long ago I got my phone, where through time, I've grown to enjoy and appreciate it more and more. And from getting a high performance phone, I sought to find a game that used that high performance. I looked for a while in many sites in search of a game to play. I came across a link to this game, "Warfare Incorporated", which to my surprise turned out to be even better than I expected. I could not imagine a RTS game on a PDA phone. I thought it would just be too hard to click on units and send them out to attack others. My hard search paid off and I'm very happy that I came across this game, so much that I had to buy it (I had the demo).

I have to congratulate the crew that created this game because it is fascinating, and to my part I "strongly" believe that it really does not "need" any improvements. But since there are enhancements requests and ideas being requested by the crew that created, I would like to give my opinion.

I believe, that the biggest downfall to many gaming industries is when they attempt to create a game with awesome graphics, but lacks on the gameplay. I strongly believe that it's not the graphics that makes a game, but the gameplay and performance. Story also plays a part, but gameplay overcomes story.

So, saying this I suggest that the modifications to the game will not be on graphics, because with better graphics requires more memory usage, and I'm sure no one here likes lag, unless your last name is Slowsky. So please, put the graphics to the side and lets work on gameplay.

Out of all the things this game has that is JUST AWESOME XD, only one thing I disliked. It does not have a multiplayer screen, where players can just click on and choose to Join a game being hosted by someone. Instead we have to find people that are going to host a game at a certain time, get their IP address, and attempt to join in. I know the solution is already under development, according to this response by scottlu http://www.warfareincorporated.com/xyzzy/viewtopic.php?p=15162&highlight=#15162 , please correct me if I'm wrong, I do not want to give false information.

That said, everything else that I'm going to say is not really important, but would make gameplay easier and more interactive.

First Enhancement: " Commanding Units "

MOVE/ATTACK

During gameplay it gets quite difficult to maintain order of your strategy when, you tell your units to go somewhere, and as they are going towards their destination, they are encountered by a group of enemies that are blocking the way, and all they do is move around until they are all dead.

It would be nice if there was a "move and attack" command, weather by a hotkey or by hitting their destination on the same place twice, where units will kill whatever is on the way until they reach their destination point.

I can understand the "not attacking the buildings". One is because, if you desired to take over a building, and your units destroyed it, or even damaged it, then you would have to go on repairing everything. So to solve that problem, a hotkey or tapping their destination 3 times would tell them to attack the units and the buildings also.

HOLDING POSITION

As I played, I would often use a strategy of keeping my units behind a wall in range to attack the enemy, where the NPC would require to go around the wall to counter attack. But a lot of times, I found my units running into vulnerable positions because they spotted the enemy, or they were brought to towers which were annihilating them all. This is quite annoying sometimes because you don't know until you hear all your guys dieing, and then you have to reload from the last saved point.

So I suggest a hotkey or command button for units to hold position, or even to hold fire.


As far as NPC AI, the only problem I saw, was that when I attacked buildings of an enemy base, enemy units would be near by and do nothing. There might of been other ones, but I can't remember.

Second Enhancement: " Maps "

I've read threads where people suggested this already, and I agree. It would be nice to be able to hide the mini map and also to command units to go to a certain place, by clicking the area on the mini map.

Third Enhancement: " Auto Moving Units "

Sometimes, on a rush, when the map is tight, and the only safe place for units to be in is in the base, and you have to build a building, you have to continue to move units. It would be nice, regardless if a unit is on the way, if you told something to be built, your units would automatically move out of the way for your building to begin construction.

Fourth Enhancement: " Boundary line"

It would be cool, if we could have a command, to tell our units not to pass an area. Where our units, would attack anything to a certain point, but then stop when it came to the boundary. This would prevent units from running into towers by accident.

Fifth Enhancement:" Building Builings "

It's quite bothersome if you want to build a wall of towers you have to continually keep clicking the h.q to select the build option to build a tower. I suggest a hotkey or a command button to build right above the money and power status.

Those are the enhancements I would like to see in the game.

There are certain things I found weird.
One is, if you build a Galaxite Processor, and you build many bullpups, and then you build another processor, the bullpups will not attempt to use the second one built, unless you tell them to.

Second is, when you have discovered parts of the map, and you leave that area, you can still see the activity taking place in that area. This would be quite a cheap when playing against opponents on multiplayer maps, because you would be able to distinguish what your opponent is about to do.

Solution would be a self recovering fog of war, but showing the terrain discovered.


I probably said too much already, but please let me add this. I enjoy this game a lot, and I wish there was more people talking and discussing things on the forums. I know there are plenty of people that have a mobile phone that can support this game, but because of lack of advertisements, they may never come across this game. Like I said, it took me a while to find this game, and I do acknowledge this game as the "THE BEST MOBILE PHONE GAME OF ALL TIME."

So I suggest to the Forum admin, and to the moderators, to place on top of the site and forum, this : "MOBILE PHONE RTS GAME" Warfare Incorporated. Because I typed on my search engine (google) and I could not find it. Like I said, I came across it by accident.

I would like to also suggest on the Multiplayer area, a thread with the instructions on "how to play multiplayer on warfare incorporated".

I had to visit different places to find out how to do it. So it would be easier for new comers to learn it quick how to.

And Also on the very top, a thread, with a data sheet of time, data and IP address of hosts, of when games will take place. This would also make easy for those that are seeking a game to play until the multiplayer development is complete.

And finally, for new threads, to have the date i.e. Feb 22, to be in yellow, so users are aware of recent questions and response.
