Below is the list of requested or suggested items to further enhance Warfare Inc.'s gameplay quality. If there is anything missing to this list, please post it in this thread and once it's added to the list or if it doesn't seem possible that it will added to the game, your post will be deleted. Remember that this is not a discussion thread. If you wish to talk about the suggested request, make a post on it, in this forum. Any suggestion made and Spiffcode chooses to pursue will be added to the Developer's Log thread soon to be made.
Graphics:
- Revamped (better) graphics. Terrains, natural objects, models, animations (Details on this will would be listed when it's known what, if any new platform is chosen for use for the Apple devices. Revamping the editor would obviously coincide with this revamp)
Sound:
- Revamped (better) sound effects for units and structures.
- Add ingame music. Something that keeps the game compelling.
- Add ingame volume control in the options menu.
- Fade sound on units and structures not within focus.
- Sound off/on and sound selection (Ability to mute certain units or structures)
AI & Mechanics:
- Revamped (better) AI logic. (This covers alot of characteristics that the AI would take into account and prioritize in a given offensive or defensive situation)
- Better unit AI path finding. Calculating the shortest routes to a particular way point.
- Revamped mini-map. Be able to magnify overall size of the mini-map (x2) Ability to use iPhone/iTouch magnify feature when pressing and holding on the mini-map.
- Ability to Zoom Out x2 to get a better perspective of the landscape. (Only friendly occupied areas, units and radar would show visible areas.)
- Take advantage of the iPhone/iTouch keyboard for any typing input for the game.
- More intuitive UI. Minimize what a player doesn't want seen (mini map) Use finger stroke gestures to bring UI components back onto the screen.
- UI displays the type and number of units selected.
- Save campaign data after a game update.
- Notify when an update is available or check for updates when online.
- Boost game speed to 3.0x for single player.
- Take OUT the ability for enemy units to occupy and control friendly structures, vice versa.
Added Content:
- New terrain types for mission editor. (Tundra, Volcanic, Urban)
- New OMNI campaign for single player. (Tell both sides of the conflict)
- Add flying units to vehicle arsenal
- Construction/Repair units to physically build and repair structures.
- Add ability to build defense bunkers and occupy with soldiers. (with slot limit)
- Medic units that can identify and automatically heal soldier units near by.
- More functionality to build walls. Allow destructible walls. (With limit how much can be built.)
- Add cinematic scenes (CG or ingame) as long as it has a direct and compelling influence on the story of the game.
- More races!
Gameplay:
- Ability to select and group units into assigned squads.
- The ability to transform the base back into the Dominion
- Notify sound and visual icon when new units are ready. (Soldier type, Vehicle type)
- Notify sound and visual icon when units or bases are under attack.
- Assign rally point to newly constructed units for both unit types. (Soldier type, Vehicle type)
- Ability to assign way points to units instead of just point A to B.
- Ability to defend and attack while moving.
- Ability to have units hold position, even in the presence of enemy units.
- Ability to upgrade structures/units to maximize potential.
Multiplayer & Network:
- Skirmish mode (both offline and online)
- Multiplayer chat (ingame)
- Ability to request a pause during gameplay
- Ability to spectate matches
- Permanent network user ID
- Network friends list
- A categorize (Mission Type, Date, Rating, Author) and search option for add-on missions.
