I just started trying to create my own levels and have figured quite a bit out at least of the basics but I'm wondering if I'm not missing something on mission testing prior to submitting to the sharing forum page. I think it would be very helpful if we could do a basic test of our level on our computer first, like a sort of run through to make sure everything is functioning correctly before uploading it to the forum and then opening it on our mobile device (in my case the iPhone) so I could test it myself before releasing it to the public forum.

Anyone know how I could do this?

Actually there is a way to privately test your maps using the custom URL feature; you just need to upload the map to a site that supports hotlinking like www.fileden.com and enter the custom URL of it into the warfare app.

If you allways export your map with the same name such as 'testmap' then the link to the map is remembered and transfer to your device can take seconds.

There should really be a guide to this somewhere because I'm useless at explaining it hehe :?

Okay that really helped but i can't figure out how to hotlink it like you said was possible, i keep having to delete and re upload my files, how do you directly hotlink it?

You dont have to delete the old file, just re-upload and it replaces it. By hotlinking I meant a direct link to the file on the internet without requiring a cookie (as is with rapidshare etc...).
Actually using your computer as a server to host the file without the need to upload is a bit of a pain, but possible. I'v never tried myself but maybe with a bit of googling you could find a guide?

I agree it should be much easier than the "Custom URL..." method. I'm thinking about it.

How about a mission creator/editor on the phone itself?

Yes I've been thinking about that. It would probably get 10x the use.

But, I also want to make it easier to test, assuming you are using the PC based editor.
