Sorry it has taken me so long to reply... (a year)
My PDA has always taken some missions a bit differently. My PDA plays this mission differently. It doesn't attack for a few minutes, then it sends lots of units out at once, in one REALY big wave instead of several smaller ones. Once, I even disabled the lose cheat to see if more waves would come like you said but they didn't. The computer just always sent one wave of distruction. I have beaten it since though, Even though it is played a bit different.
