Okay, there's only one word that can adequately explain the situation about spam:

w00t.

Darrin just got back from vacation and changed the registration process, which will keep those bots from signing up with new accounts. So no more spam :)

Nonsense. That would not be worth their time. If it was a human, he would get more views-per-registration on a more popular board. It's illogical for a human to spam here, which means its a bot.

And if it's a bot, then image-verification should stop it.
