If you plan on re-writing/updating Warfare, Inc. in the future, I'd like to suggest that you separate out the engine, much as PC games do. Then, license out the engine to other game studios. For instance, I'd *love* to have a civil-war game (similar to Gettysburg or somesuch) on my Treo 650. If you made the WI engine available for licensing, then some enterprising game studio could take your engine and set up Infantry instead of troopers, Cavalry instead of Liberators...you get the idea.

Anyway, thanks for a great game! I play it all the time.

Interesting idea...

One hypothetically could make it into a civil war game by simply getting a hex editor, going into one of the htdata files, finding the bitmaps, and modifying them to look like guys from the civil war... it would only take about a year or so.

Or, the creators could give us the source code. But its not a very high chance they'd do that.

It's a known fact that Warfare Incorporated took two years for the creators to develop. Years is actually the best estimate for any commercial game.
