I have been thinking recently, what if Warfare was to update?

I think that these forums would spike to an amount so high, that thier would be a ton more posts on this forum, more levels being made, and more people actually playing warfare.

Unfortunatly, I don't think this will happen, but if it did, that would be great.

Spiffcode and Handmark::Warfare Incorporated v1.2 seriously needs an update. If you do this, you will have an unbelieveable amount of profit. I would even pay for a new version, thats how much I want it!!!

No new game = no new profits.
New version = OMG! WHAT DO I DO WITH ALL THIS MONEY?!!

See? It all works out!

Lol yea I would imagine the same stuff. I would imagine just clicking multiplayer and there would be loads of server ready for playing.

Why dont we find a person who can dig us the source code for us to edit. A person like one of the people who created WI. Then Verdagon examines it and tells us how the principles go and we tell him to add stuff. (he is the only one with the copy cuz the admin made him a moderator or the admin trusted him alot). Maybe the admin can dig it up or at least ask?

Even if someone gave it to verdagon, he told me he quit palm os programming.

Not just this - warfare is for pocket PC and PALM OS He only knows Palm OS right now, and not much about pocket pc.

He would have to do twice the updating with 2 different languages.

He probably dosn't even have the spare time

this is why we need crackerz and darrnim to make a new version!

Aye, 'tis true. I have the source code to the editor. I was going to make a few additions, but my compiler didn't support C#. Well it does, but I have to jump through a lot of hoops to get it to work. And I can't jump through those hoops. Theyre on fire.

As for the actual game's source code, guitarist is right. I know palm very well, but PPC im just starting. I wouldn't be able to tell an operator from an identifier in the PPC code. Thats how newbish I am at it.

If I knew PPC code, I would ask for the source code to warfare so I could TRY to upgrade it. But even so, i bet its over 100,000 lines of code, and I don't know any of them. The chances of actually understanding it are .001%, and the chances of debugging if something goes wrong are 0.

definately, you've seen all the awards it's got, it would get even more if it updated. I might find a way to update it, but you'll probably have to wait for about a year or so, assumming all goes well

For this i would say that I think you people are wrong

The Game files are divided into small chunks to make debugging easier.
There is no need to edit all the files,
Just as per requirement things would be done and You would get an updated version..
