Why do we even bother saying new cool things if warfare isn't going to come out with another version? "Warfare had a long life" as Verdagon puts it, that is indeed true. By the way it seems, warfare was around in 2003 and made it up until around the middle of 2005. 2.5 years!!!
I am just wondering when Version 1.2 came out 2005? 2004??
It also seems that me and P.kitty are the only ones who actually use this forum anymore.
WE NEED SOME NEW MEMBERS!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can remember back in january when I became a member - I would post in every topic and just wait until someone would respond, not anymore, it can take a few months just for someone to post in a topic: especially the level help ones. I remember when all the following users used to be on all at the same time: Alfex, guitarist809, Vontak, Hudra, !!HUDRA!!, White_Knight, and Phillipearl.
Once again, not anymore - these forums are officially dead.
Unless another version of Warfare Incoporated comes out soon, its very existance will dicipate into the collection of "Games that used to be popular but aren't anymore" colum and then in the "Games that nobody even thinks about or plays anymore" and lastly "Games that are about to be deleted in 5, 4, 3, 2, ..." colum.
I miss playing warfare with everyone.

other than that, why bother?

Maybe we can get all the palm programmers here together and make a palm game based on the warfare story, that could help it.

About school...
Warfarers' playing is affected by two factors: how new warfare is, and whether school is in.
Right now, while warfare is old and school is in, it's at a low. There's two negative factors here.
So unless we all lose touch completely, there will be some rising of warfarer's playing when school is out. But of course, it will be even older then, so it diminishes the rise a bit.
All in all, maybe a few people will play next summer.

quite possible, but definetly less than last time, with a new version, we'ed have both good factors and then there would be loads of people playing

Hi all,
I can tell that there are a a few unhappy people here.
Let me tell you my side of the story...
I have was one of the orginal beta-testers for the game, along with quite a few others, one of which I belive was Verdagon. My personal contribution to the game was writting the help file for the level editor.
There was a time when my Palm was never switched off, and I was playing Warfare 24x7. Maps were created, levels were tested, changed and retested. It was an exciting time for everyone. The game was another step forward in the advancement of the Palm as a gamming platform.
However, I no longer play Warfare and haven't for quite a long time. The game is old. Apart from a few new levels here and there, it's the same thing over and over. I got bored with it.
You may be angry that others do not feel the same passion for the game that you have now, and that I once had, but things change.
The game is a few years old now, with no major updates or changes and my guess is that the developers have moved on to other projects.
I am not saying to just give up.! Keep playing, keep creating new and better levels, but just remember that one day you too will get bored with the game and more on.
Thanks for listening.

if warfare is boring, then you programers should update the game...add new stuff like new vehicles...new buildings ....maybe even superpowers....if warfare turns out like this i prefer the game to be not created at all.......its a real waste of money,time and effort
i know its easy to say but if warfare turns out like this .......something must be done..........

Warfare is dead, 'tis true.
But games are like phoenixes. Out of the ashes rise new games, a lot of the times.
For example, I remember a PPC game called "Arvale: Journey of Something", where they released the first game and it was pretty cool. Then it got old. So they modified it a little bit and released it again.
It would be cool if the gods took away all the current units, made some new ones with new looks, added a few, a bit of functionality, and a new story (of course it would take a long time to do all this). This would pretty much fool people into thinking its a new game, and get better sales (not to mention nobody whining about "i bought the first one, gimme this one free")
But I ramble. This won't happen, because theres many more possible things that could have happened:
- They got tired of palm programming
- They are very tired of the warfare code (after looking at it for two years)
- They just hate our guts (but we're angels, so this isn't that probable)
- They lost the source code
- The engine beneath warfare can't support anything new
- Memory demands are already close to critical
But I ramble more...
Anyway, those are two opposite views of things that could happen.

It would take forever to get to know the code though. It took them TWO YEARS to make it, so its gotta be huge.

it would be awesome if one of you bought the source code and all rights to warfare. That would imply a new version.

if so it is printf("MYTEXTHERE");

Here is a basic C program!! *Im not sure if this is 100% correct, havent done c in a while, i do c++.
#include <stdio.h>
int main(int argc, char *argv[])
{
printf( "Changing colors\nCommand: color da"); //This part is Not needed, it just tells the viewr that the color is changing.
system("color da");
return 0;
}
In C++:
#include <iostream>
#include <iomanip> //Not sure about this one
#include <windows.h> //Not sure about this one either
using namespace std;
int main(void)
{
cout << "Changing colors" << endl << "Command: color da" << endl; //This part is Not needed, it just tells the viewr that the color is changing.
system("color da");
return EXIT_SUCCESS;
}
Well, there you have it!
