In building one of my missions I eventually ended up with computer structures far in excess of the stated limit. About 70 total. I saved and compiled this missions about 20 times in tweaking the mission. Well, after tweak 21 the mission the mission will not compile and I get the limit error.

Needless to say, I have not yet learned to back up my missions often enough (which I just did for the rest of them). Has anyone dealt with this before and been able to get around the limit error? Or, do I just need to rebuild the mission from scratch and see how far I can get before getting the error again?

Any help is much appreciated.

The error message is just that I have exceeded the computer players object limit. That's understood, but the odd thing is that I was able to compile 20+ times with the same condition before it became a problem.

I'm sure the answer is just to cut the number of objects, but I am wondering if there is a way to deal with this beyond that (in light of being previously able to compile)?

Again, thanks for the help.

I was getting that messedge before cuz its the limit can be changed when creatingf a lev I think it slike 1 human unit to 20 computer units so you might have 3 human units but i did exeed way beyound any expectation i coverd half of a map with 1 side and the outher.

What did you change from the 20th compile to the 21st compile? Try to remember and do what you did before.

The only things I added between the 20 and 21 compile were two enemy unit groups and two enemy triggers. No buildings were touched.

I like the idea about the ratio, but I am positive I did not add or delete structures.

I've sort of given up trying to clear up the problem on this level (tried removing the new triggers/groups, still no compile), but am still curious as I am simultaenously working on mission pack, and have already had this happen with 2 out of 8. A few more of these problems and I'll be down to a single mission campaign.

Thanks for brainstorming.
