Neither my computer or my palm recognizes that files for the missions. It says on the page that they will download as a pdb file, but it downloads as a php file. I try to sync it onto my palm, but it tells me it does not have a program that recognizes the files.

Normally it will become a .pdb file as long as you have downloaded your PDA's software onto your computer. You may want to try uninstalling the software and then installing it again. Other than that, I don't know what to tell you. My guess is that, considering your problem, it is probably the software that is causing the .pdb files to not be downloaded as .pdb files.

Hey, when you save the file, click on save as All files *.*. save the file as a .pdb then instead of a .php. If that dosent work, save the file. Then right click it. Click properties and then change the extension filetype. (.pdb)

hope this helps.

PHP Files as you probably already know are dynamic webpages
WI site uses php pages to call upon the files and then has your browser
download that file, well for some odd reason your browser thinks you wanna download the php and not the file its calling, or maybe the headers arent getting sent right, im not sure. But whats going on is the php file
on the website is sent variables like 'file=map12.pdb' and its supposed
to download map12.pdb. What browser you using? :)

yup had a similar issue, it used to ( as in around Christmas ) do the files as pdb but now it defaults to the aforementioned :-( Bit of a faff to retype it each time, is this an issue at the server or my ( our ) end ?

Cheers

I had the same problem when I downloaded the missions last night. To solve the problem, I did a right click and rename of each of the files to end in .pdb. I then used Active Sync and copied them over. The missions then showed up.

The download of the .php file is because of this website. Programs will NOT change extensions. No other website does this. I do not know why this is, but I guess that this website just changes the extension for no reason (or maby to not let you play missions...). who knows?

The reinstallation of the forum software has taken care of this problem. I verified the .pdb files download properly with both Internet Explorer and Firefox.
