After looking thru these forums I see a lot of people have been complaining about Bluetooth problems.

Most of them mention GOB or somthing like that, but me and my mate both own HP 2210 iPaq's and we decided to give bluetooth a try, it was going well but then about 30 minutes into it he got an error (him being the host) we cant remember the exact error, but hes pretty sure it was something about a Seed. (and my end timed out oberviously)

We both own Compact Flash Wireless-B cards, so we just plugged them in and linked to my access point and played a network game, which went on for about 45 minutes and it was great, no problems.

Sadly the problem is that we dont usually play round eachothers houses, we have PC's with C&C for that ;) We like to play on the go so bluetooth is the only option. (or a Peer to Peer wireless network, were look into that)

I was just wondering if anyones had a error which included the word Seed? (We will try again and write down the error message). Also, if anyone has any helpful tips about bluetooth and such I would be greatful.

Just one more thing, I'm using 1.2 Registered, and he was using 1.2 Unregistered (so I made him host)

thanks for any help you can offer :)

"Error! Random Seed out of sync!"

This error is as common as the gob one.

Here's how bluetooth works:
A bluetooth radio sends small packets of data, and the other bluetooth radio receives it. Kajillions of these "packets" are sent every second, but if ONE messes up (like if the sending radio has a problem, and the receiving one doesn't receive it at all) then things go out of sync.

Not sure what a random seed is though.

So its nothing to worry about Hardware wise?

Its only concerning me that bluetooth might be buggered, but if its a common thing perhaps I shouldnt worry

Its a problem with all bluetooth hardware everywhere. I wouldn't worry about it too much... just hope it wont happen while you're playing.

Bluetooth has always been pretty bad... fortunately, I've been able to pull off several victories over it. :D
