Wouldn't it be nice to just place cliffs by holding down a cursor and dragging it to form the cliffline? Same thing with rivers. If anyone has played Age of Empires I or II they will know what I'm talking about.

Never played Age of Empires I or II? In the level editor, you click on the terrain called "cliff." You drag it on the screen, and it automatically makes a cliff appear where you dragged the line. It connects up and everything and is so much better than "printing" the cliffs on the screen.

I think he is talking about using a kind of pattern stamp to draw the cliffline/river. It might not look as nice as the pre-drawn peices but it would make it more customizeable.

Yeah. In the tile sets, there just arn't always the pieces you need to even completel a side or a loop. I've seen levels where the cliffs didn't match up because there was no way to myself.

Thats where bushes come in handy. Just pretend they link together, and cover the mess with bushes...

But it sounds like you're talking about a more flexible system, even though I can't underatand it. If it's more flexible, I'm all for it. Let's have a petition, telling them to change the terrainin systems!
