There is a 55-building limit in the level editor... but does that apply to just one side, or all the sides together? In one level I have, the three computer sides add up having more than 55, but the level works fine. In another, two sides must total their buildings to less than 55. I just don't know what happening!

55 buildings per each I think. I've seen a lot more than 55 buildings on the map at one time.

Once, though, the computer wouldn't let me have more than 55 total. I think the level editor's messed up.

Max Recommended Objects: (Design Limits)

Human Buildings: 39 + unused Computer - 5
Human Mobile Units: 60
Computer Buildings: 52
Computer Mobile Units: 80
Scenery: 100

Max allowed by compiler:
human structures: 55
human mobile units: 88
computer structures: 72
computer mobile units: 117
scenery: 100
Also, during game play:
scorch marks 30
shots / explosions etc 50
TOTAL CANNOT EXCEED 512

It is different for MP. I'll see if I can locate those specs.

If you exceed the design specs, you risk the game slowing way down and also risk level freezes.

I'll check some of those limits out; they could be causing some of my levels to freeze for everyone.
