I'm new to the PDA world, just got a Dell Axim X30 (624MHz, 64MB ROM, 64MB SDRAM, WiFi, Bluetooth, Windows Mobile 2003 SE :) ), and I already can't imagine being without it :o .

I'm a longtime PC strategy gamer, mainly turn-based (Age of Wonders, HoMM, SMAC, etc) but also some RTS (Kohan, Warcraft III).

Since getting the Ax I've tried demos for several PDA games, but nothing impressed me, grabbed me and made me cough up cash faster than Warfare Inc. The fact that there is a still-active community here and new maps getting made was icing on the cake.

Looking forward to playing, and to stopping by here :D .

I'd love to play multiplayer online, but have no clue how! I have a Pocket PC, Ipaq 2215, and it can go online via wireless internet. I don't have wireless internet, though. Pocket PC users: can I get online via hotsync? Then do I open the internet explorer and go from there?

I'm pretty sure you can do this; it worked for me. Hook up your ipaq to the cradle and have activesync start. When you open up warfare and click multiplayer, there should be another address (For me it was like 192.55.1.3542 or something) and just hook up through that.

Thanks for the welcome :) .

Will try my hand at MP once I get through a few more campaign missions. Also looking forward to dabbling with the editor.

Its great to see all the user-authored missions available. I was wondering if any have been rated/reviewed? Which are already favorites?

I'll set up a poll right now to find out whose is the best. I personally think UGMC's "New World" campaign is awesome.

To UGMC,

To play WI over the Internet with your iPaq 2215, you will need the following things:

1. A WiFi device hooked up to your computer.

2. An Internet connection to your computer.

3. Then your PDA can connect to the Internet like so:

PDA > WiFi device > Computer > Modem > Internet

An alternate method is to put a WiFi device on your Internet connection device (i.e. modem) and bypass the computer connection. Then your connection would look like this;

PDA > WiFi device > Modem > Internet

Good luck

What's a WiFi device? Is it standard?

WiFi device - A unit that uses the 802.11 standard to communicate with another device.

This device can be inserted in many ways to add WiFi to your home. Your Palm/PCP can then connect to the Internet through the WiFi device. Here are 5 ways to add WiFi to your home, followed by links to typical devices.

1. USB dongle device plugged into USB port in computer + Intenet connection http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproductdesc.asp?description=33-122-107&DEPA=5

2. PCI card in motherboard + Internet connection http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=33-135-106&depa=5

3. PCMCIA card in a laptop + Internet connection http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=33-317-101&depa=5

4. Ethernet wireless access point plugged into existing Internet connected network http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproductdesc.asp?description=33-190-001&DEPA=5

5. Built-in to Internet modem (DSL or cable)

The h2215 comes with bluetooth so getting a bluetooth USB adapter might be a less expensive option.
