I have been using Virtual PC to author missions. I was wondering if anyone has heard of a mission editor for mac. A third party program or something. Please let me know.

I've been asking for a mac editor from the start, and while they didn't rule it out sometime in the future, the problem (if I remember correctly) is that the programming environment of M ruled it out. Oh, well. That's why I got a second-hand pc!

No mac version currently. I own a Mac myself so I'd like to port it once Mono (cross platform .net compatible framework) is up to the task.

I have been using Virtual PC. It works pretty good. A little slow. Check out "An Alliance 5.0" if you would like to try out my mission.

My last post on this thread was 2004(!), and I can say I'm still using a Mac. I want it running on Mac too. I know PC emulators make it possible but I'd rather see it just run on a Mac standalone.

Right now there are a few things ahead of this in the list of priorities - i.e. finishing multiplayer, adding new graphics / art, and some other requests.

I might be willing to work on a mission editor, being a Mac developer myself. Who is it that maintains the current editor (or is supposed to)?

revcompgeek: Very awesome. I'd love to see a Mac version, as I can't get the existing edtior to work under Parallels. I'd like to volunteer to help design, test or whatever.

Unfortunatly, i don't have much time right now, and I would need at least specifications for the level files. Source code for the current editor would be even better.

Well, if you want to run it inside the mac environment and without a Virtual PC, you can use this useful program called "Wine."

I used it all the time to run Windows programs on linux. Works on the mac too.
